1. What Data Liswave Collects

To provide a social layer over your music playing experience, we collect specific categories of data:

  • Account Data: When you register an account, we collect your email address, chosen username, name, password, and profile preferences (like genre selections).
  • Profile Data: This includes your profile image, bio, location, and the cards containing your top artists or tracks that you choose to feature.
  • Music Activity: Once you link Apple Music or YouTube Music, we retrieve real-time listening logs (tracks played, artists, timestamps). We do NOT import your private playlists unless you request to share them.
  • Community & Social Activity: We collect details about waves you join, cards you react to, likes, songs you share, and messages or comments you post in public channels.
  • Device & Usage Data: Standard analytics details, including IP addresses, browser specs, app versions, session durations, and crash reports.

2. How Your Data Is Used

We process your data strictly to power the social aux cord experience:

  • To populate your real-time activity feed so your friends can see what you are streaming.
  • To deliver push notifications when a contact reacts to your updates or invites you to join a wave.
  • To generate statistical metrics (like your top songs of the week) on your public profile card.
  • To maintain, patch, protect, and optimize the security and operational safety of the applet.

3. Sharing & Third-Party Platforms

Liswave does not sell, lease, or distribute your personal activity to advertising networks or third-party brokers. We interact with Apple Music and YouTube Music developer APIs. The terms and data usage of those respective platforms are governed by Apple and Google's individual privacy agreements.

4. Your Privacy Controls & Deletion

We empower you with simple, granular levers to protect your digital footprint:

  • Incognito Mode: Tap one button inside the dashboard to suspend active activity sharing instantly.
  • Selective Sharing: Restrict your listening feed entirely to approved contacts only.
  • Full Account Deletion: You have the absolute right to purge your entire presence from our servers at any time. For self-service deletion, navigate to the Delete Account page.
